I’ve gotten back into building Lego sets again, while also needing to scratch my Blender itch. I combined the two and this is what happened.
I built the model in real life, then in MLCad (comes with LDraw). After it was all done in MLCad, I exported it as a 3ds file from LDView, then imported it into Blender 2.71 with the LDraw importer. I cleaned up the geometry, posed it, then rendered it in Cycles.
I hope to do more of this. It’s fun.
